  •     Treatment with pomegranate extract and a combination of EDTA and sodium citrate has significantly controlled melanosis development in Litopenaeus vannamei stored in ice for 12 days.

  •     Developed palm impression technique; a simple tool to educated fish handlers on the importance of hygiene and cleanliness
  •     V. cholerae belonging to the pathogenic O139 serogroup was isolated from freshwater fish, Catla catla procured from fish market in Visakhapatnam. This is the first report of detection of V. cholerae O139 from fish in Visakhapatnam.
  •     V. parahaemolyticus strains isolated from marine and aquaculture sources and samples of farmed head-on L. vannamei were found negative for AHPNS/EMS strain.
