Recognition to Dr. Nikita Gopal, CIFT, Cochin
Dr. Nikita Gopal, Senior Scientist, Central Institute of Fisheries Technology, Cochin received the Asian Fisheries Society Merit Award for her work in Gender in Fisheries. The Award was presented on 30thApril, 2013 during the inaugural function of the 10th Asian Fisheries and Aquaculture Forum held at Yeosu in South Korea. The Forum was held from April 30 to May 4, 2013. Dr. Nikita has also participated in the 4th Global Symposium on Gender in Aquaculture and Fisheries (GAF4) which was held as part of the Forum and was the Chair of the Programme Committee of the GAF4 in which 25 papers were presented and delegates from 16 countries participated. As part of GAF4, four special International Workshops were also held.
